On April 1st. Karl-Heinz Arnold
establishes “Karl-Heinz Arnold
Werkzeuge” in his father’s com-
pany. Purpose: Sales of carbide
cutting tools.
1965
Company re-structuring from “Emil Arnold”
to “Emil Arnold KG”. More focus on manu
facturing of special tools and jigs for spe-
cial purpose machines as well as mass
production of toolholders.
1979
Together, in a combined production facility with
“Emil Arnold”, ARNO starts focusing on market
opportunities. After only one year of research and
development a mini copy-turning system with a
patented insert clamping is introduced.
1941
Emil Arnold (*24.7.1904), decides to
become self-employed and establishes
“Emil Arnold Lehrenbau” in Franziskaner-
gasse 7 in Esslingen.
1966
Both companies moving to the
industrial area of “Ruit Zinsholz”,
Ostldern near Stuttgart.
1967
Start of sales for indexable
carbide inserts for turning
and milling.
